世界上最遥远的距离，诗句，作者说法较多，一说出自张小娴的小说《荷包里的单人床》，另一说出自印度著名诗人泰戈尔诗集《飞鸟集》，但有人表示《飞鸟集》中并未收录。原诗是：“世界上最遥远的距离，不是生与死的距离，而是我就站在你面前，你却不知道我爱你，世界上最遥远的距离，不是我就站在你面前，你却不知道我爱你，而是爱到痴迷，却不能说我爱你”。“世界上最遥远的距离”此句诗现在版本较多，各个说法不尽相同。但流传最广、影响最深远的还是江西省德兴市诗人程东武的两个版本，被广大文友奉之为世界最美诗歌。
世界上最遥远的距离，莫过于心与心之间的冷漠。
在《十八岁的天空》中有“世界上最遥远的距离不是生与死，而是我站在你面前，你却不知道我爱你。”这句台词，在戏里面说是出自《飞鸟集》的。可是泰戈尔的《飞鸟集》里根本没有任何相关的句子。
